West East Link Pipeline

Keeping the water flowing for future generations

Education

The West East Link pipeline offers an excellent opportunity for teachers and students to explore curriculum programmes of study in a real world context.

Our ‘Securing our future’ education programme provides the opportunity to learn in key areas on Engineering, Construction, Geography and Citizenship. Through a mixture of online case-studies and blogs, as well as offline classroom projects we are working with schools in the North West to enhance the education of future Engineers, Construction workers and Geographers.

Knock! knock! who's there?

In addition to 'Securing our future' we are also visiting primary schools along the route of the pipeline to give talks about the project, and the dangers of construction sites.  One element of these talks is 'Knock Knock Who's There' which serves to raise awareness of doorstep crime and bogus callers among children of primary school age.  Visit the Knock Knock Who's There website
